Laminates fall into the “Floating Floor” category. They usually are made from either a high or medium density fibre body with a “photo” of timber flooring laminated to the surface. Laminate flooring will have a good scratch resistance and are generally economical in price.
The range of species used for laminate flooring has grown to include Australian Hardwoods such as Spotted Gum, Blackbutt & Red Mahogany. Laminate flooring is available in different thicknesses and with new production techniques there are also various textures available.
